Touch has long been an antidote for tired and sore muscles. if ever we think of the perfect relaxation getaway, it always includes a massage. But this method of muscle manipulation has health benefits the reach a lot further than this. Many cultures have used massage for healing for hundreds and even thousands of years.

Here are some of the types:

Chinese Massage: Mostly used for pain relief in conjunction with herbal healing and acupuncture. it is usually performed while you are seated.

Connective Tissue Massage: Uses no oils. Is used for Chronic tension, posture problems, and often used to relieve the pain with Tendonitis, Arthritis, and Sciatica,

Reflexology: Targets the areas of the foot associated with pain in other parts of the body.

Swedish Relaxation Massage: This is probably the massage we imagine when we think about a relaxation massage. Long and short strokes combine with tapping and vibration methods.
Thai Massage: This method is more physical. It manipulates the body by using hands and feet and incorporates Yoga movements. it can help adjust skeletal alignment, improve flexibility and relived tension. It is also said to stimulate the inner organs.

Remedial Massage: This uses heat to to repair soreness and damage to muscles. By treating the whole body it traces the problem back to what originally caused it.

Shiatsu: Japanese massage whereby the hands, elbows, thumbs, forearm, knees and feet to give an intense massage. It would also included joint rotation, and stretching as well as joint manipulation.
