The vast majority of all mineral supplements are created from chemicals instead of natural substances which can be labeled as a contradictory approach to the whole issue. However, there is a steady growth in the demand for natural vitamin supplements and this trend seems set to continue. The main reason for this is the amount of debate that relates to whether or not the chemical mineral vitamins are harmful instead of beneficial within the long term.
In fact our body does not assimilate the chemical supplements as easily as normal food particles. The industry in turn strives constantly to produce products beneficial and easily processed by the body. More bio-friendly versions of vitamins and minerals are constantly being released constantly. In order to overcome this, there have been large quantities of vitamins and minerals that have been developed which includes other elements which give them the ability to be easily absorbed by the body. Iron gluconate is a combined form of iron which the body is able to absorb easily.
Within a mineral vitamin supplement, the amount of nutrients that are found need to be much greater than what it would be if it was in a more natural form so that the body is able to absorb the amount that is being required. This in turn leads to problems concerning consumption of toxic levels of particular nutrients. This is why it is better to be prudent and not take everything that you see advertised or hear about from others, but be advised by a health professional. You also need to be aware of all of the developments that are taking place within the industry producing mineral vitamin supplements because they are constantly some better and new combinations that are being developed.
The manufacturers of the vitamin supplements have started culturing the raw materials using yeast cells so as to aid better absorption. This kind of supplements, referred to as ‘food state’, is four times easier to be absorbed by the body as the yeast is biological and can be fully digested.
The vitamin supplement needs are based purely on individual requirements. It goes without saying that nutrients obtained in their natural form through the food eaten is much better for the body than by artificial means. There may be times when on a temporary basis there is a requirement for these mineral vitamin supplements but long term use is advised against for many of the supplements available in the market.
